Our task for this assignment was to create a personal search engine (PSE) with a focus on a personal area of interest. I chose to create a entertainment media media search engine. The source pages are primarily “trade” sites and blog sites from the entertainment industry.

I started out using Rollyo to create my Entertainment Media search engine but after I finished I was not happy with the results. Popular artists and various mainstream entertainment projects and professionals produced good search results but more obscure searches returned fewer results than if I had searched using individual sites. I ended up creating a Swicki using Eurekster.  That PSE returned better results for the less mainstream searches.
